Best Rides for 2-Year-Olds at Disneyland: A Parent’s Guide to a Magical Trip
These toddler-friendly attractions are colorful, engaging, and perfect for little adventurers.
It’s a Small World – The colorful scenes have made this a favorite for Lily since age one.
The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure – Bright colors, catchy songs, children and adults will be mesmerized.
Toy Story Midway Mania! – Engage them in a world of fun visuals and interactive elements. We saw Buzz Lightyear strolling around outside.

Plan Your Day Wisely
Arrive early to avoid crowds and fit in more rides. If you can make it, 9 a.m. is the ideal arrival time.
Lily took a stroller nap at 2 p.m. and was content until 7 p.m. so we could max out our day.
What to pack
Snacks & Water Bottles – Keep your little one fueled and hydrated.
Air Tag for Your Stroller – Avoid stroller mix-ups or losses.
Battery Pack for Your Phone – The Disneyland app is a must-use tool, so keep your phone charged.
Camera Light – Many rides are dark, so bring a small light if you plan to capture videos.

Using Disney’s Lightning Lane
Skip long lines and make the most of your visit with Lightning Lane via Genie+ (an add-on through the Disneyland app). Here’s how it works:
Book a Time Slot – Select a ride and reserve your spot to bypass the regular queue.
One at a Time – Once you book a ride, you can’t select another until you use your current slot.
Great for Families – Kids under three enter Disneyland for free, making it a budget-friendly option to start them young!
Two-Park Pass – We opted for the two-park pass, giving us access to both Disneyland and California Adventure.

Toddler Downtime & Parent Breaks
Toontown – A perfect spot for toddlers to unwind and explore.
Parades – Check the Disneyland app for parade times; they’re a fun break from rides.
Star Wars-Themed Bar – Parents, take a break at Oga’s Cantina in Galaxy’s Edge. Great food, quirky cocktails, and even a cool DJ!
